BUS STOP, as re-envisioned by Dan Safer and the performers, was a raucous ride with dancing, music, and video. Despite the house-party feel of the production, it managed to explore the themes of loneliness, love, forgiveness, and longing so crucial to Inge’s play. The costumes presented stereotypes that began to collapse as the actors explored the varied nuances of each character.
