An epic retelling of the Arthurian legends, AVALON was a site-specific wander through the grounds of Peter Beerits’ woodland sculpture garden. Inspired by Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Mists of Avalon and Raine Eisler’s The Chalice & The Blade, the story strove to explore what happens to the beauty and humanity of Avalon when it encounters power that wants to control and shame.
